Angus junior girls win the team competition

Well done Claire and Kirsty who won the 2016 team competition at at the Paul Lawrie Foundation Scottish schoolgirls championship at Murrayshall Hotel on Tuesday.

Angus Junior Championship 2013

Heather Munro wins Angus Junior Championship!

In a fantastic display of golf Heather Munro (Monifieth) beat Claire Robertson (Carnoustie Ladies) by 2 holes at Montrose Links on Monday. Claire took at early lead, with Heather bringing it back to all square at the turn. Consecutive birdies on the 13th and 14th by Heather took her to 2up. Claire won 1 back on 16 but Heather maintained her lead and won the 18th.  Both girls played extremely well and are showing great promise for the coming season. Their combined better ball was 4 under par -well done!
In the Spring Competition Rachel Shepherd (Arbroath Artisan) won with Cally Dempsey (Camperdown) a close second.
 

Junior Quiz

The annual quiz to raise funds for the juniors is being held on Monday 18th of March.

As normal the quiz will be at Grange Golf Club, Monifieth, 7 for 7.30pm, maximum of 4 per team at £3.00 each
Please come along and support the county and as always a great night out!
Any raffle prizes greatly appreciated.

Junior Championship 2012

The junior championship was held on Thursday 5th April on the Burnside course at Carnoustie. The finalists, Heather Munro from Monifieth and Jessica Meek from Carnoustie provided those who were watching with an entertaining match and a masterclass of short game. This year’s Champion was Jessica Meek who won by 4&3. Well done Jessica, and best of luck to both girls for the rest of the season.
