Ailsa Summers won the County Championship for the 4th year in a row on a very cold and windy Montrose Medal course today. After beating local player Ashley Alston in the semi final, Ailsa took a commanding lead early in her final with Kathleen Sutherland in a match that saw great golf from both players in very difficult conditions. Ailsa won 4&3 in the end to continue her dominance in this event.
In the other Semi Final, a close fought game between Kathleen and Katie Reid, saw Kathleen pull away in the back 9 to win 3&2. Kathleen was 1 over par for the holes played.
In the handicap Championship, Ruth Adamson won a very exciting final against Alice Leiper at the 19th.
